Unfolding the schedule, MMA's Liaquat Baloch told news briefing here at Qazi Hussain Ahmed's residence that MMA would press ahead with its anti-Musharraf campaign at all cost.
He said that MMA would kick off a caravan from Sukkur to Larkana on March 18, on March 19 it will proceed to Hyderbabad and on March 20 a million march would be organised in Karachi.
Liaquat Baloch continued that a caravan would proceed for Lahore on March 22 via Gujranwala and a million march would be held in the provincial metropolis on March 24. MMA would hold a similar programme on March 25 in Quetta and hold another march in Peshawar on March 27.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman spoke about provincial autonomy, prospects of formation of a grand alliance with the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) and the 'government inaction' on the devastation caused by torrential rains and floods.
MMA Secretary General Maulana Fazlur Rehman charged that during the Musharraf rule, sense of deprivation among the smaller provinces had increased manifold. "Likewise, the non-constitution of the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award has fanned wedge between the centre and the provinces," he maintained.
Maulana Fazl cautioned that government again showing 'indifference to growing sense of deprivation and alienation among the smaller provinces.' He strongly advocated for the grant of electricity royalty to NWFP and gas royalty to Balochistan in accordance with the agreements.
MMA leader alleged that the centre had allocated very little funds for relief and rehabilitation, particularly in NWFP.
To a question, he said that the ARD-MMA meeting, scheduled for February 21 was postponed on the request of ARD, as earlier on this date, the National Assembly was notified to meet for its first session of the new parliamentary year.
He said that MMA was in constant contact with ARD leadership, however, a lot was to be discussed before they sat down for finalising a common programme for restoration of democracy and 1973 constitution.
When his attention was drawn towards reports of a possible deal between the government and PPP, he said that they would like to ask ARD when they would sit together.
About MMA's participation in ARD rally for by-election in Lahore, he said that a decision would be taken very soon in this connection. He said that MMA would be a part of demonstration on March 09 in Islamabad in connection with abolition of religious column from the machine-readable passport.
